Great Friends=True Friends

I love the holidays, it is a great time to spend it with family and friends. I was so excited to hear that Emily and Amy were coming into town. We have been planning dinner for awhile now and finally were able to all three get together. It has been over a year now since all 3 of us have been together. We go a long time without seeing each other, but when we do, it was just like we saw each other yesterday. They are true friends and they haven't changed a bit! I love you Emily and Amy....miss you already!!!!!!! We had a great dinner and drinks at Rolando's! I have been craving that place for a long time now and my plate will show you that I did...lol! Great laughs, good times, moments captured, memories that will last a life time.

Emily and Amy, thank you for always being there for me!!!! Love you girls!!!!!!

I do it all by myself mommy

Braxton has always been independent....but when it comes to brushing his hair he definitely doesn't want you to touch it. That is why I give him a bath at night, that way I can fix his hair in the morning :) Trust me...he has never watched the movie Grease before. I don't know why he likes to brush his hair like this!Braxton is looking more and more like my dad everyday!!!!!!

Cooking with Mommy

Braxton loves to help me cook. Here he is helping me mix things together. Oh what a mess, but a great time!!!!!! Who knows I might have the next Emeril!

He looks so big in this picture!

"Mommy I did it....I cook!!!!!!!!"

Ice cream awards for good bowling

After all the excitement from bowling we decided to load them up on some sugar. The kids love it and had a great time. Here are some good pictures.

And it wouldn't be normal if Braxton wasn't showing you that he "ate it all!"

Bowling for the first time

I had never taken Braxton bowling before. Natalie and I had some "free" passes and we decided that day, we would take the kids. Let me tell you...if I had a lot of money I would take Brax bowling every night. He loved it and did not want to leave!!!!!! He was so excited everytime he bowled, he would jump up and down and say "I did it!!!" Bradley and Layla loved going bowling with Braxton. They were laughing so hard and was kind of embarrassed from Braxton screaming so loud, but after awhile they joined in on the first time bowler excitement.
He would watch the ball and as soon as it would hit a pin, he would jump up and down and scream!!!!!!! Look at him here he is waiting, waiting, waiting on the ball to hit the pin! Here's Bradley showing Brax how its done

Strike for Layla!!!!!!!

I couldn't resist posting this picture of Braxton. A lot of mornings Brax will wake up with some crazy hair. Well this day he was just going over to Nana's house to play so I let the crazy hair fly. He didn't want me to touch it anyways. He said "I wook handsome mommy". I have never laughed so hard in my life.

Outta town friends stopping by!!!!

We were so excited when Chris, Naomi, Grayson, Eric, Lindsey and Ella stopped by to see us at our new house!!!! Braxton was so excited to show them his own room and all his new toys. The kids had a blast and it was so good to sit and catch up with friends. Please don't laugh at the carpet :P...this is our playroom and it is great for a 2 year old little boy! I will have to update it someday, but for right now it works just fine. Braxton doesn't seem to mind at all. Braxton did not want to get in the picture...he wanted to sit by me and help me take pictures.

Here is Braxton, Grayson, and Ella. Aren't they cute?!?! I can't believe we all have kids now, it just seems like yesterday we were all hanging out on the deck and thinking that we get to sleep in tomorrow til noon!!!!!!! Haha......not anymore!!!!!

Christmas Eve with the Spahn family

It has been a tradition even before I was born spending Christmas Eve with the Spahn family!!! We use to spend this time over at my Grandma and Papa's house, but Papa passed away a few years ago. Grandma sold the house that we all could fit in, and so now we celebrate at Columbus Acres. Our family has grown soooo much that we all can't fit into a normal size house....lol!!! Anyways, the acres has been a place we all can cherish memories and make more. My Papa helped make Columbus Acres what it is today. We love you Papa and miss you soooo much. Here are some pictures from the night.....

Here are all the WOMEN!!!!!!!!! I think we have them outnumbered!

Little Miss Ayree had to be in there with her Papa! This picture is missing one little man.......tear!!!!

Aren't they cute! Stacy is growing a beard....something he has never done before. He said he won't shave it off until he kills a deer, so it has been 2 months now, and look the beard is still there!!!!

Riley telling Santa Clause that she needs a microphone

My cousin Eric, his wife Lindsey and their precious baby, Ella. They live in Springdale now and we miss them sooo much!!!!!! It was great seeing you guys!!!!!!

Christmas Eve was a great night spending time with family, but we sure did miss BRAXTON! I could not wait to see him the next day....I was counting down the seconds.

A week before Christmas

This year, Christmas had to come a little early for my family. We celebrated Christmas on Thursday (Dec 18th) because we weren't going to have Braxton for a week.....tear (actually I am still crying since Friday when I had to leave him) Anyways enough of that. We had a really good time this year. We ordered pizza, opened presents and then had brownies and ice cream as a nice holiday treat. Braxton and his cousin Riley tour into their presents. My sister and I have come to an conclusion...don't give the kids the best gift FIRST, they will not be interested in the others lol!!!
This will be the last time you see Brax in this outfit from all these pics. His nana and papa got him a special gift that he did not want to take off once he put it on. Here is Brax and his cousin, Riley!!! They are so excited about all the gifts.

Braxton loves playing hut-hut with his papa!!!! He will run and then fall on the ground like he has been tackled and say "touchdown Braxton"!!!!!!

Here is Braxton's new "Bakerback (Razorback) putball (football) uniform!" He loves his present so much...he wasn't interested in anything else!!! Nana and Papa might have to come over in the mornings when I am trying to get Brax dressed for school and he wants to wear his putball uniform to school! ~Thanks mom and dad your the best!!!

Here is my family minus momma Susie-she wanted to take the picture. And last but not least here is Brax showing that he ate all of his brownies and ice cream.

MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!!!!!!!!!!

"You wanna go see Santa.....no, but I want a sucker"

I have been talking about "Santa" all week!!!!! Braxton has been really excited about going to see him, but when I ask him if he is going to sit on Santa's lap, he is like "Momma, no I can't...i scared" Last year Braxton did great sitting on Santa's lap, but for some reason this year he doesn't want to have anything to do with him. Santa is all he talks about here lately, "I want to go see Anta Cause...him give me a ducker (sucker)!" So since it wasn't sleeting for the first time this week, we decided to give it a try. We went and got our good friends Natalie and Layla to experience this with us again this year!

I want you to look at those eyes. He is absolutely terrified of him. We were waiting in line for our turn to go see Santa. Well, seconds later it was time to see Santa!!!!! I wish I could have captured what happened after this, but Braxton had a grip on me and he was not letting go! We were walking over to Santa and he started shaking all over (it was like he had just jumped into freezing water). Santa said "can I hold you" Braxton was like "Santa no! I can't do it". Santa tried handing him a sucker and Braxton ripped it out of Santa's hand crying and said "momma wun (run) we got the ducker"

Here's a picture of Layla Kifer. She had her list ready to go show Santa. It was so sweet what she had written out for Santa. I told Natalie she better hold onto that list....soooooo sweet!!!!

Is this picture not "PRICELESS"....he did not want to go back over there by Santa, he just wanted to look at him!!!!!!!

When it was all said and done atleast he got his sucker!!!!!

This video is sooo cute! I think he is still terrified and thinks Santa is going to come around the corner!!!!

He had no problem at all sitting on the "horsie" Braxton Loves Horses!!!!!!!!

The kids had a blast tonight!!!!!!!!!!!!

My first blog......

Hey everyone! I am a first time blogger here, so bare with me. I am creating this blog for my son, Braxton and also for family and friends. I have always wanted to do a scrapbook for my son ever since he was born....well he is TWO now and I haven't even started one :( I hope he will appreciate this blog for now and later on I will be able to finish his scrapbook, or maybe even start on it. Maybe when he is 18 years old I will have time....YEAH RIGHT!!!!

I can't believe my son is 2 years old!!!! He is truly the reason I get up in the mornings. Look at that smile...how can I not! He is the best thing that has ever happened to me! I love you BRAXTON!!!!!!

Last night was a normal night around our house. Braxton helped me cook, then he likes to help me clean up the kitchen lol. Needless to say, I have to clean it up after he goes to bed. If I picked up his mess in front of him, his feelings would be hurt. I always tell him he did a great job. Let me give you a mental picture, our plates are in the trash (he still doesn't understand u don't throw them away) then our silverware and cups are in the dishwasher (not rinsed out). He is a big help :)

After cleanup Braxton wanted to build something with his blocks. He said "mommy you do it, you help me" Here are a few pictures of our buildings. "Wook (look) mommy we did it together"

Here is my little cheeser......
Here is a video that I am going to try and post....I could not pass it up sharing it with all of you. Ever since Braxton's 2nd Birthday, he loves to sing "Happy Birthday to you" this is sooo sweet. Also Merry Christmas to EVERYONE!!!!

Here is another common thing we do around the house.......just be silly like no one is watching!!!

Please stop laughing....I am making a fool of myself, but I don't care. My son and I were cracking up at each other.

Our fish face...well we tried

Braxton was laughing soooo hard.

After a long night of just having fun and laughing hard...it was time for bed. Here is my big boy brushing his teeth all by hisself. Then we read stories and said our prayers. Braxton's prayer was "I wub (love) you mommy"......tear!!!!!!!!
