4-Wheelers, Mudding, Campfires, Laughter, Priceless Memories

A couple of weeks ago(when I had my appendix...lol) we went to the lake. We had such a GREAT TIME!!!! Remember when it was 30 degree's outside and now look.... it is 80 degree's-GOTTA LOVE ARKANSAS WEATHER (no wonder everyone is sick these days). The kids did not seem to mind the weather at all! We bundled them up like marshmellows, where they could barely walk and took them four-wheel riding! The kids had a blast!!!! There was so much laughter and smiles, it was such a great weekend!!!!! Do you like all the matching outfits?!?!-when it is that cold outside and you are going mudding, you don't really care about matching....lol!!!!Four wheeling crew from left: Garrett, Kyran, Riley, Kadance & BraxtonThis pic cracks me up-Brax could barely move he had so many clothes on

Here is Kyran-she has the biggest blue eyes I have ever seen!!!

My lil niece, Riley!!! She cracks me up, she is always posing for me to take her picture. I wish I had my good camera on me this weekend, but probably wouldn't have been a good idea taking it four-wheel riding ;)

The story of the "Shade's"

Earlier this week Braxton and I went to the mall. We made the usual trip to Geno's and Children's Place. I was looking around the store...ahhhh they got in all their cute spring clothes and Easter outfits. They are sooo adorable!!! Can't wait to show everyone his Easter outfit-he is going to look very handsome. Anyways, while I was looking for clothes for Braxton, he was over there trying on sunglasses. He had a favorite pair that he did not want to turn loose of. They were awful, honestly they looked like a pair of Elton John's sunglasse's. I tried begging him to put them back and pick out another pair. I even tried the whole cookie bargaining, but that didn't work either. He would not take them off and he would scream at the top of his lungs when I snatched them from him. So, I gave in and bought em. Thank goodness it was buy 2 for $5 because I was walking out of there with a better looking pair....:)

These pics and video are pretty hilarious. Mind you he would not take the glass's off while walking through the mall, then when we got home, there was still no departing of the stylish shades.

See the red marker on his face...I guess he thought it would go good with the shade's

Our daily ride home

Ever seen the IHOP billboard sign on 540????? Well, we usually pass this everyday on the way home. Braxton loves pancakes and ever since he has seen this sign he screams at me (mind you while driving) "Mommy Pancake butter on it"!!!! One day I decided to pull off the highway like some crazy person and get Brax on video so you can see for yourself what I am talking about. Of course, I was proven wrong, when I want to show someone what my child does-HE WON'T DO IT-gotta love em!!!! So here is a video of him proving his mother wrong again, plus sitting on the side of the highway looking like an idiot!!!!

Taking Measurements

I am soooo behind on posting!

A couple of weeks ago, Riley (Braxton's cousin) came over to play with us so Mommy and Daddy could have some time to themselves....:) We had sooo much fun! We played games, colored, sang songs, all kinds of fun things. Since, it was a school night, Riley had to go home and Braxton had to get ready for big boy school the next day. During their visit, uncle Stacy finally decided to measure the floors in our house. Remember...we had a water line bust on the city side (thank god) and it ruined all of the floors in the house. Well, we have been living on concrete floors seems like forever now. Anyways, Braxton loves his uncle Stacy and wants to be just like him. He was a big help with measuring the floors.

Say it with me......"Awwwwww soooo sweet"

"AROUND OF APPLAUSE PLEASE!!!"

Braxton I am soooo proud of you!!!!! He is getting to where he is using the potty more and more everyday. I am one happy Momma! Whoooooo!!!!!!

P.S. Braxton I know you are going to look at this when you get older and be so mad at me for posting this, but I am so proud of you and so will everyone else. I am sure when their babies start using the big boy potty, they will post a picture of them doing it too (Right Blog Moms!) So, please don't get real mad ok..:)

I love you,

Mommy

Appendectomy

Oh wow.....what a weekend! Sorry for the late post, but this is the first time I have been in front of a computer since my last post.
Well, as I left you on Friday, I was headed to get a CT scan. Has anyone ever had a CT scan done before? Well, if you have then you will know exactly what I am talking about. Thank god my sister met me at Cooper Clinic that day, because I probably couldn't have done it without her. You have to drink 1/2 jug of white, milky, cocunut flavored, nasty, awful stuff before the CT scan. Words can only tell you how disgusting that stuff really is. It has to settle on your stomach for an hour before the x-ray. Piper has had the scan before, also has had the priveledges of drinking the awful drink. She told the lady we were going out to the parking lot, because she knows how much of a gagger I am. I got the first cup down like a champ, but the cups to follow were not very pretty. I have never gagged so hard in all my life, Piper was cracking up!!! After an hour of drinking "the awful stuff", people walking by laughing, staring at me while I gag and sit in the car, it was time for the x-ray! I felt like I was in college when you had one to many drinks, shots, etc....and you get sick in the parking lot! Thank god those days are over...lol!!!
After the x-ray, the nurse told me to go have a seat and she will be out shortly. I knew it had to be something bad because they were going to tell me the results right away. All the other patients got to go home and they would get the results next week. Well, after 5 mins of anticipation and anxiety, she came out and said"You are to go straight to the ER, and have surgery, you have Appendencitis"!!!!!!!! I couldn't believe what I just heard. Piper looked at me and was like, "Well, your weekend plans are cancelled" For a matter of fact, this was one weekend I was actually looking forward to and had plans....birthday party Friday night, then a formal event on Saturday. Oh well, there will always be more ;)
They were waiting for me over at the ER. I got in there quick, they got me prepped for surgery, then it was time to talk with the doctor. Mind you, my stomach was already so swollen from the pain, I looked like I was 5 months pregnant. The doctor was very concerned, he thought my appendix had already ruptured by the looks of the swelling and the pain. He told me about the procedure, then it was time to get it out!!!! 30 or so minutes later, he was done (well, I didn't know, but this is what my family told me). My appendix did not rupture, but my colon was swollen. I had to stay in the hospital Friday night, but was able to go home on Saturday...thank god!!! Staying in the hospital is not fun and I think I got maybe an hour of sleep.
Thank you all for your prayers and concerns. I couldn't have done it without all of you. I loved all the flowers, balloons, candy bouquets, and cards....they made my day! I thank god, I went to the doctor and I am alive today!!!!
Getting to see Braxton on Sunday was so amazing! I missed him so much!!!! He ran up to me and said "Mommy, I kiss your boo-boo's and make em better, I love you and missed you"!!!!
What more can I say......I am truly blessed!!!!!!!!!!! Love all of you and thank you again for everything. I am one lucky girl.
Love, Megan
