Another surgery?

Again, I have been blogless here! I promise once we get back into the whole school routine, and work dies down, pics have been ordered, etc...I am back to blogging all the time!!!! I can't wait either, Brax has changed so much and he started school this last Monday. He absolutely loves it and it so priceless seeing his smiling face when I pick him up. "Mommy, Mommy, Mommy...I made you a picture, I had so much fun"!

Last week Brax came down with the 24/hour stomach bug. I just knew I was going to get it, but a week had passed and NO sickness for me...whewww!!! I had a business meeting Tuesday night and everything changed, I became sick (at my meeting ha, my boss loved that) !!!!!! Ughhhhhh it was miserable! Well, Tuesday evening and all day Wednesday were not the best days. But I thought I am almost over it, counting down the 24 hours. Well, Wed night after getting Brax to bed, I started having these horrible pains in my stomach (same as when I had my appendix taken out). Also my stomach was swelling like I had swallowed a kid ;p I got Brax off to school Thursday morning and came back home. I thought maybe if I slept, the pain would go away....ha was I wrong AGAIN, it got worse! So off to the doc I go.....after X-rays, blood work, urine tests, etc. Megan has ENLARGED SPLEEN!!! WTH, I made sure that there was no Appendix in there b/c I was going to be mad, I have all the doctor bills to prove it. The viral infection caused acids and blood cells to attack my spleen. Have you ever heard such a thing? I am not saying all of this in correct doctor terms, but from all the medicines being injected in my yesterday this was all I understood!!!!

The doctors were very concerned on the size, and the swelling. I was hooked up to an IV, and got some med's to make the swelling go down, plus the pain was being managed. I had more tests run, one doctor said I was going to have my spleen removed! I was thinking " I am not going to have anymore organs left"!!!!! Anyways after a long day of being told this, and being told that, NO SURGERY!!!!! Whooooooo!!!!! I was told that if the pain came back to not hesitate and get straight to the ER! Your spleen is suppose to be the size of your fist, mine was the size of a small watermelon. So paint a pretty picture!!!! Have a great day, I know I am...I feel great and I can't wait to be with my son this weekend!!!!!

Ok, I have NOT Blogged in FOREVER...not like you guys out there in blogland have been missing me or anything ;) I almost even forgot my password.

Well, I will admit I have been in a sort of a "funk" here lately. I haven't felt like writing about it, expressing my feelings.....NOTHING, just kind of wanted to take time away from everything and spend it with my son. Brax and I have been going through a lot of changes and everyday we are trying to make the most out of it. Alot has happened and come up, but we are still learning to take it ONE DAY AT A TIME, right?!?! I will be honest, I am so tired of hearing people say "Everything happens for a reason" or "Time heals everything", but you know what honestly they are right. For the past 17 months I have wiped so many tears, and I am tired of doing that...everything does happen for a reason, and I know my purpose here on this earth: I have a beautiful son that needs me and I care for him soooo much and I want to do everything I can for him. Braxton is the best thing that has ever happened to me and my soul purpose is to be the best Mommy I can to him!!!! So enough about all that, here is my lil man who is growing up so fast!

Today my son said to me "Mommy, I wub (love) you so much, and I will take care of you forever, so you take off work today and be with me!" This is why I get up everyday :)

One AWAKE 12 day old

You know how they say newborns are up all night and sleep all day?!?! Well, not this lil guy....he knew the camera was on and wanted to see what was going on. Awww...I could have held him all day long, reminded me of when Braxton was this little (tear). Mr. Cooper was so sweet and cuddly, loved hearing the noises they make so early.

What a $1 worth of balloons will do.....

What a night we all had. Last Friday my bro-in-law had his 20 year high school reunion (oldie). Anyways I told Piper & Stacy that I wanted Riley to stay the night w Brax and I. Oh what fun we had (I promise no sugar Piper)!!!! Anyways we went over to Natalie's house (aka Nat Nat as Brax calls her) for dinner and a water balloon fight. I tell ya, a $1 goes a long ways on balloons. The kids had a blast and so did we!!!! We loved seeing their faces when we chased them with the balloons. U see Brax's shorts...hehe?!?! He was so upset at me that I didn't bring him any "swim shorts" b/c all the other kids had their swimming clothes on...oops!!! So, he borrowed a pair of Layla's shorts, and well ugh-they fell off of him. So Nat Nat had a great idea to tie a rubber band around the shorts. Great thinkin Nat! Brax might look funny in the shorts, but he was so excited when they finally stayed up.

I can't tell you how long I have waited to get my camera on this family!!! I have never actually met sweet lil Kate (Kater-Poo) in person, until today. I feel like I know her every step, every smile, every laughter, every tear, every sound and have seen every milestone through her Mommy's blog http://sarahandbradthomas.blogspot.com/ (aka The Thomas Family)!!! Thank goodness for all you Bloggers!!! I love reading up on them and what they are doing because they live 3 hours away : (

Here's Kate who just had her FIRST BIRTHDAY!!!! Awww what a doll she is. She has the sweetest lil grin that will grab a hold of your heart forever! And OH THOSE EYES she has....I could go on & on about them!!!!! I loved seeing the look in her eyes when she saw Mommy & Daddy....what a priceless day! Thank you Thomas Family for letting me capture this day for you!!!!

Sooo in LOVE!!!

Here's Mark & Lena.....what a FANTASTIC couple!!! These two were so natural and it made taking pictures very easy ;)!!! They are getting married July 11th, and I can't wait to celebrate this special day with them. They are sooo much in love and these pictures are proof! Thank you two for letting me capture this special time for you!!!

All of the pictures turned out soooo good, I couldn't only post a couple. So....I tried making a video of all the pics, hope it works, b/c it sure took me long enough..hehe ;)
